SOUPCAN
A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT WAY OF LOOKING AT EYEWEAR
TAVAT’s “SoupCan” Collection is inspired by the way frames were thought to be made in 1930’s America.
Each frame embraces both craft and technology, past and future, simplicity and decoration.

INSPIRATION
TAVAT’s “SoupCan Collection” is inspired by the way frames were thought to be made in the 1930’s America.
The SoupCan story begins when noticing a vintage poster hanging in an aircraft hangar, which advertised a group of crop-dusters, back in the ‘30s, who were known to get together on weekends to give airshows, calling themselves “The Flying Burritos.
Seeing their crude goggles, our designer imagined that they were cut-out of the famous Campbell soup cans and immediately came up with the idea, which after a great deal of study resulted in a completely new way of making frames.
This is the story of innovation, adventure and being free-spirited which are the pillars that guide TAVAT’s “SoupCan” Collection.
